Parish Blog

Welcome to our parish blog

Welcome to our website and blog.
During this Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, let's keep in touch and up-to-date with current advice and information on how to keep well ourselves and look after those in isolation and in need of help.
If you would like to post some information or a message on the parish blog, please email:

Helping in the community

A volunteer scheme will be launched soon within the Parish of Bourne End & Wooburn, in partnership with Wye Valley Volunteers. The aim of the scheme is to make contact (whilst observing safe practice) with those who are in isolation and may need help with shopping, prescription collection, a dog walked or just a phone call once a week to keep in touch and boost morale during this period of social isolation. Volunteers (the number will depend on the length of the street or road) will be allocated a "patch" of houses or a street, so that there is a known contact/s who is offering help to those that need it.

The Cookham scheme is starting on Monday from Elizabeth House Day Centre, but our local one is taking a bit longer as we have 15,000 households in the Parish not 3,000!  If you are interested in helping in any way, OR you know someone that you think might need help and would not be on the radar of the surgeries or other agency, please email Miriam Blazey at: Thank you.
