IGNITE is a youth club for anyone
in secondary school. We aim to
provide a mix of social evenings, (usually with a theme), charity
work/fundraising, fun outings and religious involvement.
Follow link for Kaoma fundraiser.Click
We meet every other Friday, from 7-9 pm, usually in
the Borlase Hall, next to St Teresa’s. There is a small weekly fee
(can be paid termly) which covers refreshments and materials.
About once a term we have outings ( iceskating, bowling etc).
During the year we have services and events as
appropriate to celebrate our faith. Twice a year we take part in LUMOS – a
weekend away run by the diocesan youth office, where young people get a chance
to relax, socialise and reflect with other young catholics.
To ensure enough adults are present (for health and
safety reasons), all parents go on a rota to help out (about once or twice a
year).
If you would like your
child to attend IGNITE please complete a registration form, The Youth Co-ordinator
is Fran Marjoram. Any queries please contact the office on 01494 673018
